Anywhere, Anytime Toning:
During your day-to-day activities you can
strengthen and
tone your muscles.
Squeeze: When driving, standing in a queue or
sitting, squeeze your buttocks, thighs, and abdominals to
give your muscles a workout. Don’t forget your pelvic floor
muscles!
Raises: Do toe raises to work your calves while
washing the dishes.
Squat, don’t bend to pick things up. Keep back
straight and go straight down - works your leg and bottom
muscles.
Leg Toner: Climb stairs two at a time, with a
straight back and without leaning on handrail. Too much?
One at a time will do.
To increase your walking speed, take longer strides rather
than shorter, quicker steps. By lengthening your pace
you’re using your thigh and hip muscles.
Morning Stretches: These can be done before you even
get out of bed! Stretching helps with your flexibility and
fine tunes your muscles.
